Salmon Pink 1958 Philco Model E814-124 AM Vacuum Tube AM Radio! Sounds Awesome!
DESCRIPTION: This vintage radio was manufactured by Philco in 1958 time frame. Tabletop vacuum tube AM radio in excellent working and very good physical condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: The cabinet is original molded salmon pink color plastic. No major scratches. There is a repaired hairline crack on top that was repaired and reinforced from underneath inside. Original factory molded color through and through. Not repainted. There are small chips along the front side edges.
KNOBS: The tuning tuning knob is original and securely attached in excellent condition no broken repaired attach posts. The tuning dial works fine. Volume On/Off knob is original and excellent condition. No broken or repaired mount posts.
DIAL LIGHT: Dial light works and lights brightly. Replaced with modern LED for long life.
LOGO: The front lower left P logo medalion is not missing. Usually this logo plaque is missing.
POWER CORD: The replacement power cable and polarized safety plug is securely attached no breaks no cracks no exposed wiring.
CLOCK: No clock
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The antique radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection.
BACKING BOARD: The factory original backing board is in excellent condition with crisp square edges and clear read-able printing.
FACTORY LABELS: No missing bottom factory labels. Intact in excellent readable coindition.
PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to moisture, cooking grease, pets or carpet.
