DESCRIPTION: Tabletop vacuum tube AM vacuum tube radio manufactured by General Electric in 1947 in excellent working and physical condition. 

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial with external antenna attachment included. 

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory constructed wood cabinet. Original factory stain and color. No veneered. Not repainted or re-stained. Solid wood construction. Front tuning glass window is in excellent condition no cracks. Some tuning numbers are flaked off. Black metal back panel is in excellent condition with no rust, no stains, no warping. Front gold metal mesh is in ecellent condition with no dents, dings, and securely attached.

CLOCK: no clock

KNOBS: Original matching gold painted factory plastic tuning and volume knobs are securely attached no broken attach posts. Factory gold paint has some rub off and signs of wear due to normal use.

LOGO:  No missing logos. 

DIAL LIGHT: Dial light works and lights brightly.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.

POWER CORD: The brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. 

BACKING BOARD: Factory original backing board is in excellent condition no cracks.= securely mounted.

FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing original factory labels.

PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets. Looks like it was used in a kitchen for a long time.
