DESCRIPTION: Pocket transistor AM radio manufactured by Ideal in excellent working and physical condition. Original clear plastic protective cover is in excellent condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial. This vintage portable radio plays great with or without an external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Original factory molded red plastic cabinet in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, no major scratches. Not repainted, not over sprayed. Original contrasting wood looking highlight is an interesting and unique decorative feature. Clear protective carry case, clips and straps in excellent condition no rips or separated seams.
KNOBS: Original working power on/off volume switch and tuning wheel is in excellent working condition.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed with one.
BATTERIES: This radio was originally designed to power off 9V transistor batteries which are still readily available today at most retail stores. No special or antique batteries needed.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection.

PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to moisture, cooking grease, pets or carpet.
