DESCRIPTION: One of the best looking most distinctive vintage radios manufactured in the 50s. Even more fascinating, this model series was available in a multitude of contrasting colors some of which are very rare. Tabletop vacuum tube AM radio manufactured by Emerson in 1953-4 time frame in excellent physical and working condition.

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment. 

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded beige pink tan urea plastic back and brown reddish polycarbonate plastic front. All original factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted no touch up not over sprayed. The tan back is not cracked, no chips, no major scratches, not yellowed. The brown front grill piece has the left front bottom little legs chipped off. Not unusual for this model.

KNOBS: Original matching original brown reddish color plastic knobs are securely attached. The knob positions have been adjusted so the knurls don't rub up against the cabinet edges. The tuning gold painted dial is original factory painted, not greening no cracks, chips, or flaking. Works fine no slipping. 

LOGO: No missing Emerson logo. Factory raised gold paint is not completely rubbed off.

DIAL LIGHT: dial light works and lights up red power indicator.

CLOCK: no clock

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.

POWER CORD: Original power cord and replacement plug are in excellent working condition. No breaks, no splits, no repair with electrical tape, or other. No exposed wiring.

BACKING BOARD: No backing board. Bottom chassis steel plate is original and functional.

FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom factory labels. Slightly water stained.
