Avocado Green 1954 Philco Model B572 Vacuum Tube AM Radio Excellent Plus Condition Sounds Great!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop AM vacuum tube radio manufactured by Philco in 1954 in excellent plus physical and working condition.
CABINET CONDITION: Original factory molded avocado green color plastic. No cracks, chips, or missing pieces anywhere on the cabinet! Not repainted, no touch up, no over spray. None needed. Front tuning window is in excellent condition with no cracks, no faded or flaking print, and securely attached.
WORKING CONDITION: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
LOGO: No missing logo.
KNOBS: The factory original matching volume on/off and tuning knobs are in excellent condition no cracks no chips.
LETTERING: No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on tuning dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping.
DIAL LIGHT: Dial light works and lights brightly. Replaced with modern LED bulb for brightness and long life.
SOUND QUALITY: There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications.
CLOCK: No clock
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static free performance in the future. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
BACKING BOARD: Original factory backing board is in excellent condition.
POWER CORD: The original power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits or exposed wiring.
FACTORY LABEL: No missing factory labels. Clear and readable.
PROVENANCE: Was gently used, lovingly displayed, or stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to moisture, smoking, cooking grease, pets or thick carpet.
