1960s Claricon Model Unknown AM FM Vacuum Tube Radio Sounds Great! Excellent Condition! Rare Model!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop AM FM vacuum tube radio manufactured by Sansei Electroniucs Ltd of Japan and remarketed in USA by Claricon brand of Worldmark Electronics in Pittsburgh, PA USA.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM and FM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Clear and resonant with excellent selectivity and sensitivity.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded in ivory color plastic in excellent condition with no chips or major scratches. There is a small hairline crack on the back top left edge about 1". Very stylish color front gold grill with turquoise control panel and clear tuning window one piece in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or major scratches. All front top clock function lettering is clear readable not rubbed off.
KNOBS: Factory original matching tuning, selector, and volume On/Off knobs are grey with chrome centers in excellent condition.
LOGO: Original Sanyo logo is in excellent condition and securely attached.
DIAL LIGHTS: No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.
CLOCK: No clock
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The original power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: Original factory backing board is in excellent condition with no cracks, rips, or toen corners.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom labels. Inside factory labels intact. All Japanese printing is clear but faint on backing panel..
