DESCRIPTION: Rare tabletop vacuum tube clock radio model from Bulova in excellent working and physical condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded glossy blue two-tone plastic navy blue front and powder cornflower blue back. All original factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted. No over spray. Not touched up. No cracks or major scratches or missing pieces. Clear clock cover is original with no cracks, chips, or scratches and securely attached. No heat crack on top. Shiny front gold painted grill is in excellent condition with no fading or greening. Clock gold metal window trim is in excellent shiny condition with no dents, dings, or tarnish.
KNOBS: Original volume and tuning knobs are securely attached no cracks, no broken attachment posts, no missing center metal inserts. Two original matching clock function levers. One side is missing a little knob tip.
LOGO: The front grill and Bulova badge logo plate is in excellent condition.
DIAL LIGHT: No tuning dial light. Not designed with one. But can be added for an extra charge.
CLOCK Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm and clock set function works and goes off at the correct set times. No alarm buzzer wake to radio only. No sleep timer. Clock face is in excellent condition with clear numbers no rust no oxidation or greening. No water stains. Back clock and alarm time set screw is not missing. Turns with ease. Snooze button on top works.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static free performance in the future. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The replacement thick power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: None. Color matching blue plastic back cover is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or melted heat vanes.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing factory labels. Label is mostly intact, missing material on the bottom.
