Avocado Eldorado 1962 Emerson Lifetimer I Model G-1704 AM Vacuum Tube Alarm Clock Radio Sounds Great! Nice Color!

DESCRIPTION: This tabletop vacuum tube AM radio was manufactured by Emerson in 1962 in excellent working and physical condition.

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory shiny molded avocado plastic back and front. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. Front control panel is in excellent condition with no scratches, fading, or stains. All lettering is crisp and clear. Front clear clock cover is in excellent condition with no cracks, no chips, no broken attach tabs, securely mounted. Lovely color. Avocado was the new seafoam green of the early sixties.

KNOBS: Original knobs are matching and securely attached. No missing gold metal knob inserts. Usually one or both of these are missing. The tuning dial works fine no slipping no sticky spots.

LOGO: No missing logos.

DIAL LIGHT: No tuning or clock dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.

CLOCK: Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm and clock set function side arm works and goes off at the correct set times. No buzzer wake to radio only. No sleep timer. Front black painted aluminum clock face is clean no smudges no fading no oxidation trails no faded numbers or markings. Look at the atomic stars on the clock!

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static-free performance. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.

POWER CORD: Original power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent working condition. No breaks, no splits, no repair with electrical tape, or other. No exposed wiring.

BACKING BOARD: No backing board with this model. Color matching avocado plastic back cover is in excellent condition with no cracks, co chips, no major scratches. No melted heat vents
