Marble Brown 1946 General Electric Model 202 Vacuum Tube AM Radio Excellent Condition Great Sounding!
DESCRIPTION: A vintage tabletop tube AM radio alarm manufactured by General Electric in 1946 time frame excellent plus working and physical condition. Very special looking rounded layer design. Original factory molded Bakelite brown color. No repaints. No over spray. None needed. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is in excellent condition with no cracks, splits, or missing plastic. This radio is over 70 years old! The knobs are in excellent condition. Glass tuning window no cracks. Original knobs show very little wear of over 70 years. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping no sticky spots. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! Dial light works. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. Factory original backing board is intact and secured attached. Bottom factory labels intact and legible. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
