DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Admiral in 1949-1951 time frame in excellent+ working and physical condition. Cabinet and grill are original factory molded brown Bakelite. No cracks, chips or major scratches. Original factory molded colors. No repaint, no over spray no touch ups. None needed. Matching replacement burgundy knobs are intact, securely attached. Original tuning pointer is in excellent condition. Volume works with smooth even attenuation across entire range. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. Admiral logo letters are all correctly filled in with white paint. The tuning dial works fine. The tuning slider indicator works. No sticky spots. No dial light not designed with one. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug is in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The original backing board is in excellent condition with crisp square corners and securely attached. No missing factory labels. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
