Beige Pink and White 1958 RCA Victor Model 1-C-5KE Vacuum Tube AM Clock Radio Sounds Great Cool Looking!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM antique radio manufactured by RCA Victor in excellent+ working and physical condition. This vintage radio has a late 50s design look with its slatted grill and clear trapezoidal bubble clock window. Neat side actuated levers for clock and radio functions seen only on RCAs during the latter few years of the 50s. Original factory molded colors not painted. No touch up no over spray. None needed. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is in excellent condition. No cracks or major scratches. There are small chips on the bottom front right and left corners. All clock components work including the alarm. This retro radio is over 60 years old! Grill is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. No rust, warping, or waviness on the clock metal foil display backing. RCA Victor logo with the little Nipper dog is intact and is illuminated from behind when the radio is turned on. Sweet! This clock was not designed with an always on clock light. But one can be added for an extra charge. Raised RCA Victor Filteramic logo on front speaker grill is in pristine condition with no rub off of gold chrome paint. The knobs are in excellent condition. No cracks and no missing gold metal inserts. These almost always are missing over the years. The tuning knob and volume knobs are not cracked either. Amazing. Dial light lights brightly. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on tuning dial lettering. The clear clock cover on this radio is securely attached no cracks or scratches no micro inclusions. Mirror glossy and glassy sheen. The tuning dial works fine. The variable rotation shaft has tendency to slip because it is friction based differential so you need to turn with more gusto to get it to move. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The clock works and keep accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises, The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock and alarm set function work. Sleep timer works. Snooze button works. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Original factory tube layout diagram label and other factory stickers on bottom are in good original condition. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection.
