DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM shortwave radio alarm manufactured by Motorola in 1952 excellent+ working condition. Picks up AM and shortwave stations loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Receives even better with an external antenna wire attachment ( any long hank of wire will do). Original shiny factory molded brown Bakelite. No repaint, no over spray, no touch up. None needed. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. This radio is over 65 years old! Some rub off on the gold paint off the grill. The knobs are in excellent condition. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on tuning dial lettering. No missing center knob caps. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. No dial light not designed with one but can be added. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is in good condition with crisp square corners. The replacement power cord and polarized plug are brand new. No exposed wiring. No missing factory labels. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
