Cerulean Bakelite 1950 Motorola Model 57M Tube AM Antique Radio Nice Looking Great Sounding!
DESCRIPTION: Manufactured by Motorola in 1950 is in excellent working and physical condition. This antique radio picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Very nice paint job on this bakelite vintage radio was done by a previous owner. Very high quality job so I decided to leave it as is. No cracks, splits, or missing bakelite. The knobs are original and in great condition and securely attached. There is no missing ink, smudges, or rub-off of the dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. Dial lights up brightly. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is in good condition with crisp square corners. The power cord and plug has been replaced and are new. No exposed wiring on this vintage radio. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
