AQUA BLUE 1959 Admiral Y3048 Tube AM Radio Alarm Clock
DESCRIPTION: Vintage tabletop tube radio manufactured by Admiral in 1959-60 good working condition. This is a rare hard to find model in an original factory molded rare attractive color. This antique radio has a crack on the top, caused by heat emitting from the vacuum tubes inside. Please review photos carefully before purchase. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. The front clock bezel is clear transparent with no cracks or hazing. All oirginal factory molded colors. Not repainted not touched up no over spray. The front ivory grill is not yellowed white but original factory molded ivory color. Knobs are black in great condition. This radio is over 50 years old! All the dial numbers are crisp and clear. No dial light not designed with one. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine. No slipping. The volume knob works no scratching noises. The clock works and keeps accurate time. The clock motor is silent no buzzing no humming no grinding noises. The alarm and alarm set functions work. The sleep and sleep timer works. The power cable is securely attached. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets.
