DESCRIPTION: Unusual vaned offset grill design in blue on blue is reminiscent of 1962-63. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is in excellent condition with no splits, chips, or missing material. Original factory molded color. The front medium blue is factory original painted color. No repaints. No repairs. No touch up. None needed. This radio is over 50 years old! No missing labels. The knobs are in excellent condition. No missing clock knobs. Amazing. The clear dial face has no cracks. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on clock dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. This radio features an always on clock dial light. Before LEDs were available, none of these clock radios had an illuminated clock face because incandescent bubls would require replacement every few months. Very few models featured always illuminated clock faces. Low wattage gas bulbs based on a similar technology as neon lights were available but were expensive. These gas bulbs have a very long lifecycle and do not require frequent replacement. These bulbs emit an orange glow. Very neat! All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The clock works and keep accurate time for a mechanical analog design. The clock is quiet. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock and alarm set function work. There is a appliance timer function in back. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets.
