DESCRIPTION: One of the more memorable designs one of the period's best quality manufacturers. Late deco cum industrial cum modernist-ish looking design. The muted grey painted bakelite serves as a thoughtful contrast to the askew grill and oval tuning dial. This radio has a very good audio sound quality. I was amazed at the quality of the electronic components inside! Almost all the components were within 10% of manufacturer specifications! There was an abundance of over-engineering and fault tolerant circuitry to ensure frequency and signal response remain true over time and varying conditions. I like. This is an impressive listening radio. Very loud and clear no humming or buzzing on AM and FM bands. No cracks, splits, abrasions, or missing material anywhere on the cabinet! There are flea bites of missing paint throughout due to normal wear and tear but not neglect. Very slight. No cracks, chips, or major scratches any where on the cabinet. All original molded factory bakelite with factory painted grey color no repaints or repairs. All knobs, dial pointer, etc are present, working, not missing. Original factory molded maroon color serves as nice color counterpoint to the grey cabinet. Very attractive and unique color combo for the period. Picks up AM and FM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without external antenna attachment. Excellent mid century design! The knobs are securely attached. This radio is almost 65 years old! All the dial numbering and lettering is crisp and clear. No missing numbering, dots or dashes, or anything. No smudges or yellowing. The back panel is in excellent condition. The tuning and volume dials work fine. The unit powers on and off with a definite click. All out of spec capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The original power cord and plug is in good working condition with no cracks, or splits or electrical tape repair. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets.
