SALMON PINK Twin Speaker Retro Vintage 1959 Philco Model J846-124 AM Tube Radio Sounds Great!
DESCRIPTION: Rare and beautiful twin speaker original salmon pink and white Philco. Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Philco in late 50's in excellent+ working condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. This radio is in excellent working condition. Beautifully curvaceous design with instantly retro 50's propeller dials. No cracks, chips, missing material anywhere on the cabinet which is hard to find given the sharp corners of this design. No repairs or repaints performed or needed. Cabinet is factory molded in salmon pink and white color. The front gold trimming has worn off from age. Excellent original condition cabinet with no splits, or seams, abrasions, or missing pieces. Knobs are original and securely attached. Bottom factory label is missing. The front label is worn off in center. This radio is over 55 years old! No dial light. Not originally designed with one. The tuning dial works fine. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The replacement power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
