Repeat: the internal electronics have not been gutted and replaced with modern electronics. All modifications are reversible. DESCRIPTION: Solid state transistor radio manufactured by Zenith in the1970s in excellent working and excellent physical condition. Named Circle of Sound by Zenith. Design incorporates bottom mounted speaker through a bottom pedestal baffle. Although physics wave theory has proven sound waves emanate in all directions equally regardless of channeling.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM and FM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Clear and resonant with excellent selectivity and sensitivity.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original black molded plastic cabinet with factory painted simulated wood grain. No cracks, chips, or major scratches on the top, bottom, back and sides. The front controls panel and aluminum trim is in very good original condition with some scratches. Function lettering and numbering is not worn off. Clear tuning window is in excellent condition with no scratches or cracks. Tuning back panel is in excellent condition with no rust, flaking paint, clear readable printing.
KNOBS: Factory four original matching tuning and and volume knobs are silver chrome win excellent condition with no paint flaking or rub off. Tubing indicator pointer moves along an arc versus side to side as designed no sticky or stuck spots.
LOGO: Original Emerson print on left top corner of control panel is in excellent condition and not faded.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an additional charge.
CLOCK: No clock.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The original power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom labels.
