DESCRIPTION: A vintage tabletop tube AM radio alarm manufactured by General Electric in 1946 time frame excellent working and physical condition. Very special looking rounded layer design. 

CABINET CONDITION: Original factory molded Bakelite brown color. No repaints. No over spray. None needed. Cabinet is in excellent condition with no chips or major scratches. There is a repaired hairline crack on top. The gold metal front grill screen is in excellent condition with some tarnish. The front tuning glass is original in excellent condition with no cracks. NUmbers are not flaking. The black factory painted tuning back panel is in excellent condition with no rust, flaking or stains.

 

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment.

KNOBS: The original matching volume and tuning knobs are in excellent condition. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping no sticky spots.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.

DIAL LIGHT: Dial light works. Brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.

BACKING PANEL: Factory original backing board is intact and secured attached. 

FACTORY LABELS: Bottom factory labels mostly intact and legible. 

PROVENANCE: Was gently used, lovingly displayed, or stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to moisture, smoking, cooking grease, pets or thick carpet.

FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: Original factory labels are mostly intact. Some scratched off.
