Harvest Gold 1963 Travler Model 59C22 AM Vacuum Tube Alarm Clock Radio Sounds Great! Excellent Condition with Rare Working Clock Light!
DESCRIPTION: Rare color combination from a rare manufacturer. Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Travler in 1963 in excellent physical and working condition.
CABINET CONDITION: This radio is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or major scratches anywhere on the cabinet. The front yellow grill piece looks like a mustard yellow or harvest gold and evenly colored top to bottom with no discoloration. All original factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted no over spray no touch ups. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial, clock or logo lettering. No repaints or repairs of any kind. The front gold color metal trim piece is in excellent structural condition slightly tarnished throughout, but securely attached not rusted.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
DIAL LIGHT: Clock light and front left light dimmer works. i have never seen, and did not know existed, this model was offered with clock light with dimmer. No tuning dial light. Not designed with one but one can added for an extra charge.
KNOBS: Original volume and tuning knobs are securely attached. The tuning dial works fine with no slippage. The little clock and alarm knobs are original, intact securely attached. Clock light dimmer knob is a replacement in excellent condition.
CLOCK: Clock works and keeps accurate time. The clock motor is quiet no buzzing, humming, or grinding. Alarm works. Clock and alarm set functions work.
BACKING BOARD: Backing board is in excellent condition. Crisp square corners clean unfaded color and crisp factory lettering. Securely attached.
FACTORY LABELS: The factory sticker intact, readable.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: No paper and wax capacitors, or electronics, have been replaced. The tubes are working fine and glow orange are they should. Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static free performance in the future. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection.
POWER CORD: The brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
PROVENANCE: Was gently used, lovingly displayed, or stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to moisture, smoking, cooking grease, pets or thick carpet.
