Miami Blue 1980s JCPenney Model 680-3041 AM FM Digital Alarm Clock Radio! Excellent Condition! Rare Model!

DESCRIPTION: This digital alarm clock AM FM radio was manufactured by JCPenney in 80s in excellent working an physical condition. 

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM and FM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment. FM antenna is wire coming out the back for extended reception which was common design back then. AM antenna is internal.

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded light blue turquoise plastic through and through. There are not many surviving examples of this model. The surviving examples are often yellowed with age looking a little green. This one has not yellowed as much as others. Not repainted no touch up not over sprayed. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. Original matching buttons on top for time and alarm set, band selector, ON/OFF/Alarm/Snooze functions. 

KNOBS: Original knobs are matching and securely attached. The tuning dial works fine no slipping no sticky spots. Volume on off switch is working as designed not crackling sounding. 

LOGO: No missing logos. 

DIAL LIGHT: Night light doesn't work. Was not designed with radio tuning dial light. But can be added for an extra charge.

CLOCK: Front red digital display is clear and bright original red color LED. All segments of digital display are bright. Brightness does not flutter or get dim unreliably Does not visibly blink. Clock keeps accurate time. AM or PM LED indicator dot is accurate. Wake to music or buzzer. Clock and alarm time is set using buttons on top. Alarm goes off correctly at the set time.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. 

POWER CORD: Original power cord and plug are in excellent working condition. No breaks, no splits, no repair with electrical tape, or other. No exposed wiring.

FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom factory labels. 

PROVENANCE: Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to moisture, smoking, cooking grease, pets or carpet.
