DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Sylvania in 1954 in excellent working and physical condition. Sound blaster coming from a non-descript little sleeper-looking radio.

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial. This vintage radio plays great with or without an external antenna attachment. This radio is almost 70 years old! 

CABINET CONDITION: Original molded Bakelite cabinet factory painted in ivory. Excellent condition with no cracks, no chips, no major scratches. Not repainted, not over sprayed or touched up.  Minor paint dings and scratches throughout. Top raised hump serves as a convenient handle. Just Gorgeous!

KNOBS: All original factory matching knobs are in excellent condition. Volume on/off switch works.  The tuning dial and pointer works not slipping no sticky spots.

DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment. 

BACKING BOARD: Original factory backing board is in fair condition with repaired and reinforced mounting area. All original factory printing info and labels are intact and readable.

POWER CORD: The brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug is in excellent original working condition with no cracks, or splits. 

FACTORY LABELS: No missing factory labels

PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets.
