Candy Apple Red 80s Sears Model 3000 AM FM Cassette Mini Boombox Radio! Sounds Great Excellent Condition!

DESCRIPTION: This mini boombox AM FM radio and cassette player was sold by Sears Roebuck in the eighties in excellent working and physical condition

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM and FM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Original FM antenna is extendable and retractable but little clips that hold the antenna secure have broken off. The antenna is held in place with electrical tape. Cassette player works and sounds great. All cassette functions are working.

CASSETTE PLAYER: Play button works. Forward (>>) works. Stop works. Reverse (<<) works. Record feature works. Eject button works door opens and closes and stays shut. Cassette door hinges are solid not cracked or mis-aligned and stays securely shut when not in use. Cassettes not included. Eject button works. The cassette mechanical counter and reset button works. The program LED lights up but not sure whether it is functioning as designed. Not sure whether the issue is the counter LED or the tape itself. Not sure what it's supposed to do.

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory shiny molded red plastic through and through. Not repainted no touch up not over sprayed. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. Original factory multi-color printing and graphics all clear, readable, not faded or worn off. Factory color matching handle is working no cracks not warped. Retracts when not in use.

KNOBS: Original factory knobs, buttons and thumbwheels are in excellent condition, none missing, and all securely attached. The tuning dial works fine no slipping no sticky spots. On, off, tape selector switch is working as designed not crackly sounding. AM FM band selector works. Volume works not crackly sounding. Stereo and Mono toggle switch works. FM stereo LED works. Normal and Chromium Dioxide CRO2 tape setting toggle switch. Not sure whether CRO2 tapes function works. Tone knob works. Left Right balance knob works.

LOGO: No missing logos. 

DIAL LIGHT: None. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.

CLOCK: no clock

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. The tape head needs to be demagnetized with cleaning cassette. Cassette Head Demagnetizer is included.

POWER CORD: Original AC household power cord and plug are in excellent working condition. No breaks, no splits, no repair with electrical tape, or other. No exposed wiring. Runs on standard household AC with detachable power cord included.

BATTERY:  Operates on standard 5 x 1.5V C cell batteries. Not included.

FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom factory labels. 

PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets.
