DESCRIPTION: Rare and beautiful vintage radio model. The contrasting pink and brown is such a unique color theme! Tabletop Tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Arvin in 1964 time frame in excellent working and physical condition.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded pink front and back plastic. The back is yellowed a little more than the front. All original factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted no over spray no touch up. None needed. No cracks, chips, or major scratches or missing pieces. The front tuning and clock clear cover is original clear plastic no scratches and securely mounted. The front tuning and clock back panel is in excellent condition with no rust, oxidation trails, or water stains. No faded or rubbed off letters or numbers. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The handle is built into the back cover. Very functional.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. This radio is one of the better ones for listening purposes.
KNOBS: Volume and tuning knobs are matching, original and securely attached. The tuning dial and volume work fine. Two little clock function knobs are original, matching and securely attached.
POWER CABLE: The original power cable is securely attached.
LOGO: No missing logos
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.
CLOCK: Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm and clock set function works and goes off at the correct set times. Buzzer works. Sleep timer works. Snooze button on top works. Appliance timer in back works.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
FACTORY LABELS: Bottom factory label is missing.
PROVENANCE: Was gently used, lovingly displayed, or stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to moisture, smoking, cooking grease, pets or thick carpet.
