DESCRIPTION: Tabletop vacuum tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by RCA Victor in 1964 time frame in excellent working and physical condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded blended turquoise blue back and ivory front plastic. All original factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted. Not over sprayed. Not touched up. Front white grill is factory applied paint in excellent condition with 1 or 2 flea bit paint dings. No cracks, chips, or major scratches or missing pieces. Clock clear cover is original crystal clear no cracks no scratches and securely mounted. Beautiful aluminum silver clock back panel is in excellent condition with no oxidation or rust trails, no water stains, no rust.
KNOBS: Factory original matching tuning and and volume knobs are in excellent condition with no cracks no chips. Both knobs not missing center silver aluminum insert. Clock original matching knobs are clear plastic and securely attached. No broken flaps.
LOGO: No missing RCA Victor logos.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.
CLOCK: Clock works and keep accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Clock and alarm set time works. Alarm works. Wake to radio and buzzer or wake to radio only. Both work. Sleep timer works. Top snooze button works.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. Both Intermediate Frequency Transformer (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static free performance. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The original gray power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: No backing board. Not designed with one. Pink back cover is original and securely attached. No melted heat vents.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom labels. Intact but yellowed not peeling water stained.
