Ocean Turquoise 1959 Philco Model H764-124 AM Tube Clock Radio Totally Restored!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Philco in 1959 in excellent working and physical condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Original factory molded yellow plastic in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or major scratches. All original turquoise factory molded color through and through. No repaint, over spray or touch up. Hardly any rub off on the button function lettering.
CLOCK: Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent. Clock and alarm set functions work. Sleep function works. Alarm works. The clock face is original and in excellent condition with no rust, oxidation, fading or rubbed off numbers. Hairline crack in upper right corner.
LOGO: No missing logos.
PUSH BUTTONS: All original factory matching pushbuttons with original gold metal inserts. No missing push buttons. The push buttons are securely attached and don't pop off. The push buttons return to same level position
KNOBS: Factory original matching knobs are in excellent condition. No missing gold metal center inserts. Often one or both of these metal inserts are missing. The tuning dial works fine. The volume knob is missing the metal center insert.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All out of tolerance paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static-free performance. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection.
POWER CORD: The replacement power cord and plug are excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: Original white backing board is intact with solid mount points.
FACTORY LABELS: Original bottom factory labels are intact, legible, not rips no missing sections.
PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets. Has been in our reserve inventories for a long time.
