DESCRIPTION: Tabletop vacuum tube AM vacuum tube radio alarm manufactured by Detrola in 946 in excellent working and physical condition. Chrome was a relatively new and modern technology to found on consumer items back then. This was probably a unique and expensive model when it was introduced.

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM and shortwave stations clearly and loudly around the dial with original factory external antenna cloth covered wire included. 

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory forest green Naugahyde covered wood cabinet. No cracks, chips or major scratches or missing pieces. Not repainted, no touch up not over sprayed. Front expansive chrome metal face is in excellent condition with no rust, flaking, dents or dings.

KNOBS: Original three (3) factory brown plastic tuning knob are intact and securely attached no broken attach post slightly warped. Tuning dial works fine no slipping no sticky spots. Volume on/off switch is original and securely attached. Shortwave and broadcast selector switch works.

LOGO:  No missing logos. Front decal logo is partially rubbed off.

DIAL LIGHT: Dial light works and lights brightly.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.

POWER CORD: The replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. 

BACKING BOARD: Missing backing board on back

FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: Missing bottom labels.
