Lustrous Brown Vintage 1949 RCA Victor Model 8X541 AM Vacuum Tube Radio Excellent Plus Condition!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by RCA Victor in 1949 in excellent+ working and pristine physical condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. This bakelite cabinet has a beautiful glossy brown color. Center gold metal design trim and tuning pointer is in excellent shiny condition securely attached. Original factory molded bakelite color no repaints no over spray and no touch ups. None needed. Knobs are original and securely attached. This antique plays great without need of external antenna attachment. This radio is over 65 years old! All the dial numbers are crisp and clear. The tuning dial is clear no yellowing no missing center metal cap. The copper colored paper backing behind the tuning knob is in excellent condition. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine. No slipping. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! No dial light. Not designed with one. Original backing board is in excellent condition with crisp square corners and edges. Two little original securing clips are not missing. Bottom factory label is in excellent condition. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The replacement power cord and plug is in good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
