DESCRIPTION: These console style tabletop clock radios are an exceedingly rare design. This one is factory painted in a iridescent turquoise color. Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Sylvania in 1960 in excellent working condition. No cracks, no repaints or exterior repairs. None needed. A few small chips at the corners but nothing major. The radio is in very good original condition with signs of normal but minor wear. The painted top shows more wear. The paint is thin from years of normal use. There are patches throughout where paint is worn off. Knobs are original and securely attached. The tuning knob metal center insert is tarnished. This radio is almost 60 years old! No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial or clock lettering. The 'Sylvania' raised painted logo is rubbed off. The The tuning dial works fine. The power cable is securely attached. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets.
