Sabrina Pink Coral Mid Century Vintage 1955 Zenith T522V AM Vacuum Tube Calendar Clock Radio Works Great Very Good Condition!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Zenith in 1955 in excellent working and very good physical condition. Rare coral pink color which is like the closest to a hot pink you'll find in fifties. Not to be confused with 519V pink which is more like a light powder pink. This one came with an even rarer calendar clock that works.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Super loud and clear player!
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded coral pink plastic. Factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted. No over spray. Not touched up. No chips or major scratches or missing pieces. There is a hairline crack across the top. There is a small chip on the back top edge. Cabinet is glossy. Clock and tuning clear covers are in excellent condition no cracks no chips no major scratches and securely attached. Tuning and clock dial faces are in excellent condition no stains or oxidation trails or fading.
KNOBS: Original matching volume and tuning knobs securely attached in excellent condition, no missing metal inserts. All three the little round clock buttons are original and intact and securely attached. No stripped internal post slots.
LOGO: Zenith factory paint filled molded-in logo is in excellent condition. Zenith center crest logo is in excellent condition.
DIAL LIGHT: No tuning dial light. Not designed with one. But can be added for an extra charge.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static free performance. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: The backing board is factory original lookls weathered. No missing 4 factory t-pins.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom labels. All labels 80% intact. Yellowing and water staining.
PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets.
