Mustard Gold 1960 Motorola Model C5S42 Vacuum Tube AM Clock Radio Beautiful and Rare Color!
DESCRIPTION: Rare Tabletop Tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Motorola in 1960 excellent+ working and physical condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or missing material. No heat cracks no melted heat patches on top. The front part of the cabinet is originally a muted mustard yellow that has yellowed with age to a tan mustard yellow color. The cabinet backing that was originally a beige ivory has yellowed evenly to almost the same tone as the front. So the whole radio front and back looks mustard-y yellow golden color. This radio is over 50 years old! No missing labels on bottom. Motorola logo is missing. The knobs are in excellent condition but yellowed. No missing clock knobs. Amazing. The clear dial face looks excellent. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on clock dial lettering. The Motorola label is faded.The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. The front pot metal trim is original non-chrome matte silver finish. No crack, warping, major scratched on the clear clock cover. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! All push buttons work as designed. Buttons do not pop off. Buttons click and return to their correct levels as designed. The clock works and keep accurate time no humming no buzzing no ticking or grinding noises. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock and alarm set function work. Sleep timer works. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
