Red Orange 1959 Granco Model 701 AM FM Vacuum Tube Radio Little Cutie Great Sound!
DESCRIPTION: If you're looking for a late fifties AM FM vacuum tube radio, here's a rare one in a nice color combo! Compact tabletop vacuum tube AM FM radio manufactured by Granco in the late fifties timeframe.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM and FM stations clearly and loudly around the dial.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded bright red orange and white plastic. No cracks, no chips, and no major scratches. All original factory molded colors. Not repainted. No over spray, no touch up. None needed. Front whitew grill is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or major scratches. The fron top aluminum trim panel has some pattern rub off, but no dents or dings, no rust or oxidation or waviness and securely fastened.
KNOBS: Factory original matching red orange plastic volume and tuning knobs. No cracks no broken attachment posts. Original factory gold metal inserts are not missing securely attached.
LOGO: No missing logo. Black lettering is clear and precise.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light not designed with one.
CLOCK: No clock
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The original cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: no backingboard. Not designed iwth one. Factory red orange color plastic back panel is ine excellent condition.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom labels. Intact but yellowed not peeling.
