Betty Pink and Black 1947 General Television Model 100-1 Vacuum Tube AM Radio Works Great!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop vacuum tube AM radio manufactured by General Television in the 1947 time fame in excellent working and physical condition. Was owned by the late Les Richter, pro-NFL Hall of Famer and NASCAR executive.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is glossy painted pink Bakelite with original black trim pieces. The pink refinish by a previous owner is a professional restoration of the highest quality. The pink paint is mirror shiny, polished smooth, with a deep luster. No dents or dings on the paint finish. No cracks, chips or major scratches or missing pieces underneath on the Bakelite cabinet. The factory original handle, grill, tuning window trim and knobs are in excellent condition with no cracks, no chips in original factory molded black color plastic is not repainted, not touched up and not over sprayed. All trim pieces are securely attached with original internal post clips not missing not glued. Original tuning gold metal foil backing is in excellent condition with no bends, warping, rust, oxidation, peeling or fading. Original red Saturn shape tuning pointer is in excellent condition with no cracks, no warping, securely attached. Original clear tuning window is in excellent condition with no cracks, no warping and securely attached.
WORKING CONDITION: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
LOGO: No missing logos
KNOBS: The tuning knob is in excellent condition no cracks no chips securely attached. Tuning pointer rotates with ease, no slipping, no sticky or stuck spots.
LETTERING: No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on tuning dial numbering. The tuning dial works fine no slipping or sticky spots.
DIAL LIGHT: Dial lights works and lights brightly
CLOCK: No clock
SOUND QUALITY: There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All out of tolerance paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection.
BACKING BOARD: No backing board
POWER CORD: The replacement power cord and plug are in excellent original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
FACTORY LABEL: No factory label.
