Mediterranean Turquoise Vintage 1956 RCA Victor Model 6-C-5C Vacuum Tube AM Clock Radio So Sweet!

DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock alarm radio manufactured by RCA Victor in 1956 in excellent physical and working condition.

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment. 

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory shiny. No chips or major scratches or missing pieces.  Small thin hairline crack on the top at the back edge. Small corner chip on top left front corner. Original factory molded blended turquoise color through and through. No repaints no touch-ups no over sprays. The front clock bezel is clear transparent with no chips or hazing. There are small stress fractures emanating from the on off auto switch. Clock white face is in excellent condition with no rust no oxidation trails or discoloration. All numbers on white clock face are in excellent condition.

KNOBS: Original knobs are color matching turquoise and securely attached. All the lettering is still clear and legible. The tuning dial works fine.

LOGO: Trim gold is in excellent condition with little or no rub off.

DIAL LIGHT: No dial light not designed with one but one can be added for an extra charge. 

CLOCK Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm and clock set function works  and goes off at the correct set times. No buzzer. Wake to radio only. No sleep timer.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.

POWER CORD: The brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. 

BACKING BOARD: Original backing board is intake securely attached with mint condition legible printing.

FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom labels.
