DESCRIPTION: The revered much sought after Zenith owl eyes radio. An easily recognized and progressive design from the early 50s. This one is in drop dead gorgeous condition. Clear and loud sounding with excellent sensitivity! Convenient and functional handle in matching tortoiseshell! That's over the top! Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Zenith in 1954 in excellent plus working and physical condition. This is a beautiful original molded in ivory radio with no cracks, no chips, no major scratches! Original molded tortoise shell swirly color handle and matching knobs makes this combination truly unique and singularly beautiful! Not repainted no touch up and no over spray. Knobs are original and securely attached and real clean. This radio is almost 60 years old! No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine no slipping no sticky spots. The brand new replacement power cable and safety polarized plug is in excellent condition no breaks no exposed wires no brittleness. The tubes are working fine. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. A very quiet set between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. The original backing board is intact and securely mounted. Heat shield underneath inside prevents future cracks due to heat. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
