DESCRIPTION: Tabletop vacuum tube AM radio manufactured by Motorola in 1957 time frame in excellent working and physical condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded red urea color plastic a hard high quality plastic that predates modern polycarbonate plastics found everywhere today. All original factory molded colors. Not repainted. No touch up no over spray. None needed. No cracks or major scratches. No heat cracks on top. Small front edge chip on the right side.
KNOBS: Original factory molded black volume and tuning knobs are securely attached with no repaired cracks, no broken attachment posts. Factory gold printed letters are in excellent condition with slight rub off and no flaking.
LOGO: No missing logos. Front gold Motorola logo is in excellent condition.
DIAL LIGHT: No tuning dial light. Not designed with one. But can be added for an extra charge.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been alignemochad according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
CLOCK: No clock
POWER CORD: The factory original brown power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: Original factory backing board is in excellent condition with clear readable factory printing. Factory original antenna cover on back is securely mounted with no broken attach tabs. Factory printing is readable not water stained.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing factory labels.
