Kona Brown 1950 Zenith Consol-Tone Racetrack Model H511W AM Vacuum Tube Radio Near Mint Condition!
DESCRIPTION: The revered much sought after Zenith racetrack radio. An easily recognized and progressive design from the early 50s. This one is in drop dead gorgeous condition. Clear and loud sounding with excellent sensitivity! Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Zenith in 1950 in excellent plus working and physical condition. This is a beautiful brown Bakelite radio with no cracks, no chips, no major scratches! Original molded color not repainted no touch up and no over spray. Knobs are original and securely attached real clean. This radio is almost 60 years old! Center Zenith logo light works. The front metal faschia plate is in very good to excellent condition with no dents or dings, no major scratches or waviness. Some slight oxidation and small rust pitting. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine. The factory original supple power cable and plug is in excellent working condition no breaks no exposed wires no brittleness. The tubes are working fine. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. A very quiet set between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. The original backing board is still present which is incredible because it's only held on by 4 t-pins. Has original Zenith "tube saver" sticker which is nice. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
