DESCRIPTION: This vintage tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Zenith in 1953 is in excellent physical and working condition. Top of the line model option including clock with alarm buzzer and radio alarm settings, sleep timer, back color matching Bakelite cover, tone control, and pilot light. The Bakelite cabinet is a gorgeous modern gray and gold color combo. Very hard to find color combo. The factory original gray paint is not faded. No cracks, chips or major scratches. Minor fleabites and paint nicks here and there. All knobs are original and securely attached. Original factory painted gray over black Bakelite. Original factory painted gold grill. Not repainted, over sprayed or touched up. Original factory glossiness and sheen. This radio is over 60 years old!  No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine as designed no slippage no sticky spots. No tarnish, oxidation, pitting, or discoloration on metal cosmetic parts. Original volume is securely attached in excellent condition. Original tuning knob is securely attached in excellent condition no slipping. The clear plastic clock and tuning windows are in excellent condition no cracks not yellowing no warping due to age. The volume and tone modulate as designed through the entire range smoothly and without crackling. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm works. Clock and alarm set functions work. Sleep and sleep timer works. Original tone knob in back works. The replacement power cord and plug is excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. Original factory labels on bottom are in good condition with minor yellowing. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
