Gull Gray 1956 Zenith Model Z512G AM Vacuum Tube Radio Rare Color Owl Eyes!
DESCRIPTION: Rare color sought after Zenith owl eyes! Tabletop vacuum tube AM antique radio manufactured by Zenith in 1956 in excellent working and physical condition. No cracks or major scratches. Small chip on front left and bottom edges. Original factory molded gray color. Not repainted not touched up not over sprayed. Two nice round gold colored circle surrounds are shiny slightly oxidized. This vintage radio is over 60 years old! No dial light. Not designed with one but one can be added. No missing logo, ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine. No slipping. No rubbing or sticky spots. Original gold matching volume and tuning knob are securely attached and unique to this design. Front Zenith badge is in excellent condition. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are excellent original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. Backing board is stiff, crisp edges and securely attached. Backing board is original. Usually these backing boards are barely hanging on. Bottom factory label intact. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
