DESCRIPTION: This little screamer plays like a champ! Near mint condition with no cracks, chips or major scratches. This was a very popular model back in its day. Back says "Catalog Item 5" like when people would order household items from Sears Roebucks catalog! Hilarious. Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Silvertone in 1952 in excellent working and physical condition. Cabinet is original molded brown bakelite. Not repainted. No overspray. No touch up. None needed. No dial light not designed with one. The front grill is in excellent condition with no rub off no dents no dings. Knobs are original and securely attached. This radio is over 60 years old! The tuning dial works fine. No slipping. The power cable is securely attached brand new replacement. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. No backing board. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
