Espresso Brown Retro Vintage 1949 Silvertone Model 9005 AM Vacuum Tube Radio Works Great!
DESCRIPTION: This little screamer plays like a champ! Bottom factory label says "Catalog Item 9005" like when people would order household items from Sears Roebucks catalog! Wonderful! Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Silvertone in 1949 in excellent working and physical condition. Cabinet is original molded brown Bakelite. Not repainted. No over spray. No touch up. None needed.One of the back heat vanes is missing. No dial light not designed with one but one can be added for an extra charge. Knobs are original and securely attached. This radio is over 60 years old! The tuning dial works fine. No slipping no sticky spots. The power cable is securely attached brand new replacement. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. No backing board. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. No missing bottom factory labels. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
