Egyptian Turquoise Gold 1957 Bulova Model 100 AM Vacuum Tube Alarm Clock Radio Simply Fabulous!
DESCRIPTION: This particular is in such pristine original condition, we could not bring ourselves to electronically restore it! Radio works but with slight hum. Clock works flawlessly. You can request for this radio to be electronically restored at no additional charge. We understand there's plenty of radios which a candidates for working restoration, but there are so few remaining like this in such good condition we felt it was better to leave it un-touched. This antique Bulova clock radio has a fine jewelry look to it. High quality manufacturing is apparent inside and out. Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Bulova in 1957 timeframe in pristine physical condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. But, with slight hum.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is in pristine condition. No cracks, chips or major scratches. All original molded colors through and through. Not repainted, no touch up, not over sprayed. Front gold metal grill is original with no dents, warping, or dings. No oxidation or rust.
KNOBS: The factory original turquoise matching volume and tuning knobs are in excellent condition. No missing little clock or alarm set knobs. These little clock knobs often go missing over the years so it's nice to find one with all original knobs. The original factory gold paint is in excellent condition with very little rub off. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping.
CLOCK: The clock works and keep accurate time. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock and alarm set function work. The clock face is clean with no tarnishing or greening. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on clock dial lettering. Clock motor has motor whirring sound. Not totally silent.
LOGOS: No missing logos.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: NO electronic restoration has been performed on this radio. Customer can request our normal electronic restoration at no additional charge. The tubes are working fine. There is slight hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection.
BACKING BOARD: Backing board is in good condition with crisp square corners.
POWER CABLE: The original power cord and is in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
FACTORY LABELS: NO missing factory labels. We didn't even want to put our company sticker on it tro preserve its original condition!
PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, cooking grease, pets or carpet.
