DESCRIPTION: I sold one of these a few years ago and since regretted it. But it went to Crosley corporation so I'm consoled I suppose. I haven't seen one since in this condition. And this one is in better condition than the one that's probably sitting on the Crosley corporate visitor lobby! If you have this radio and driving around in a Ranchero, you would be the last word in BADASS around town! Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Crosley in 1959 in excellent+ condition. This quality manufacturer is one of the only ones still around today and still making radios. Incredible! This radio is as solid as a brick. The original red color is more like a coral pink or salmon pink looking color. No cracks. No chips. No repaints. Original factory color. Original factory finish in glossy condition There's alot of pot metal trim on this design so it's rather heavy. Nice! Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. A rare model in a rare color. Cabinet is original red color but looks more like coral pink or ruby red grapefruit. The grill is a white color no flaking. Knobs are original and securely attached. The volume knob is slightly oxidized. This radio is over 60 years old! No dial light. Not designed with one. There are no cracks on the top. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine. The power cable will be getting a stress relief bushing and run through the back. These power cables would fatigue and break at the interconnect with a hefty radio like this. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets. When this radio was new, tailfins were all the rage!
