Cabana Ivory 1955 Silvertone Model 2016 AM Vacuum Tube Radio Totally Restored! Sounds Wonderful!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Silvertone in mid 1950's in excellent working and physical condition. No cracks, chips, scratches. Original molded ivory color. Not painted or repainted. No cosmetic repairs. None needed. This radio is originally factory molded in cream ivory white Bakelite. Front basketweave grill design is unique to this model. Not often seen. Original factory tweed grill fabric is in excellent unfaded condition securely attached no rips no separated edges. This radio is over 60 years old! No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine. Dial light works great! Replaced with brand new modern LED bulb so it will probably never need to be replaced. Tuning dial works smoothly no sticky spots no slipping. Tone control works with even tonal attenuation. Volume knob switch works as designed. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The replacement power cord and plug are excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. Backing board is intact with one cracked corner that has been repaired. Bottom factory labels are intact and legible. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
