Breezeway Blue 1960 General Electric Model T-165A Vacuum Tube Radio Sounds and Looks Great!
DESCRIPTION: Cool mid-century styling featuring front clover leaf pattern grill. Reminiscent of mid century breezeway blocks used in architectural designs of the period. This tabletop vacuum tube AM radio was manufactured by General Electric in 1960 in excellent physical and working condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded pastel cornflower blue and ivory plastic. One of the bottom back screw attachment tabs is chipped off. There is a small hairline crack on the back cover. No cracks, chips, or major scratches on top, front, or sides. No heat cracks or heat warping on top. Front ivory molded pattern grill is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. All original factory colors. Not repainted, no touch up, not over sprayed. Front tuning aluminum bezel is clean shiny no dents no dings no pitting some chrome paint rub off. Front clear tuning window is in excellent condition with no cracks, no faded numbers.
KNOBS: Original knobs are matching and securely attached not yellowed with age. No missing knob silver metal inserts. Volume and tuning knob silver metal inserts are intact. The tuning dial works fine no slipping no sticky spots. Pull outward to power on radio.
LOGO: Front GE Musaphonic logo applique is not missing.
DIAL LIGHT: No Dial Light, Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
CLOCK: No clock
POWER CORD: Original power cord and plug are in excellent working condition. No breaks, no splits, no repair with electrical tape, or other. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: No backing board with this model. Back cover is in excellent condition with no cracks, co chips, no major scratches.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: bottom factory label is intact, yellowed, readable, not water stained.
