Heritage Maple 1965 RCA Victor Model RGC37L AM/FM Solid State Radio Sounds Fantastic! Fine Wood Cabinetry Features!
DESCRIPTION: Table top wood vacuum tube radio manufactured by RCA Victor in early to mid 60s in excellent working and physical condition. Has fine wood cabinetry features like the top shelf and corner spindles.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM and FM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Clear and resonant with excellent selectivity and sensitivity.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory constructed wood cabinet. Not repainted. No touch ups. No over spray. The wood cabinet is strong and sturdy. The original factory matching decorative wood spindles are in very good condition. The right decorative spindle was broken off at the bottom but repaired. The controls panel and aluminum trim are in excellent original condition with no cracks, no chips, no major scratches. Minimal chrome paint fading or rub off. Usually the chrome painted plastic pieces have more fading, flaking, and rub off. Function lettering and numbering is not worn off. Grill fabric is factory original with no rips, no fraying, no stains, no separation along edges. Some bubbly areas.
KNOBS: Factory original matching tuning and and volume knobs are silver chrome painted in excellent operational condition. Chrome paint has rubbed off. Usually these chrome painted knobs show much higher degree of fading, rub off and oxidation.
LOGO: No missing logos.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light.
CLOCK: No clock
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The original beige power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: Original factory fiberboard cover is in excellent condition and securely mounted.
PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to moisture, cooking grease, pets or carpet.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom labels.
