Carnation Pink White Vintage 1960 RCA Victor Model X-2FE AM 'The Sportflair' Vacuum Tube Radio Sounds Great!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock alarm radio manufactured by RCA Victor in 1959 time frame in excellent physical and working condition. "The Sportflair" model. Huh? What kind of name is that?
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded white plastic front and pink back. No chips or major scratches or missing pieces. There is a thin faint hairline heat crack on the back top. The front white grill section is in excellent condition. One of the grill vanes has a repaired crack.
KNOBS: Original clear dome volume and tuning knobs are matching and securely attached with no cracks. Original matching gold metal color inserts are not missing. Usually one of both of these are missing.
LOGO: No missing logos. RCA raised metal Little Nipper logo is in excellent condition.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.
CLOCK: No clock.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: New replacement power cord and plug are in excellent condition. No breaks, no splits, no repair with electrical tape, or other. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: No backing board with this model. Has white color plastic backing cover.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: Bottom factory label is partially intact.
