DESCRIPTION: Tabletop vacuum tube AM radio manufactured by General Electric in 1958 time frame in excellent working and physical condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up stronger AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded pink color plastic in excellent condition. No cracks, chips, or missing pieces. All original factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted. No touch up no over spray. Tuning dial back panel is in excellent condition with no rub off, rust, or peeling.
KNOBS: Original factory matching clear volume and tuning knobs are securely attached with no repaired cracks. Volume On/Off knob is not missing center gold metal insert. Decorative tuning center gold metal insert is missing. Volume knob pulls outward to turn on.
LOGO: No missing logos. Black painted raised General Electric logo is in excellent condition.
DIAL LIGHT: No tuning dial light. Not designed with one. But can be added for an extra charge.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static-free performance. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
CLOCK: No clock
POWER CORD: The replacement black power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: Original factory backing board is in excellent condition with clear readable factory printing.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: Original factory labels. Readable.
PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets.
