Sienna Brown 1950 Motorola Model 59X Tube AM Antique Radio Nice Performer Very Easy On The Eyes and Ears!
DESCRIPTION: Manufactured by Motorola in 1950 is in excellent working and physical condition. This antique radio picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. No cracks, splits, or missing bakelite. Not repainted no touch up or overspray. The knobs are original and in great condition and securely attached. The chrome of the dial pointer and front metal plate is good a few rust specks. Cute red orange knobs! Yes, they are original. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off of the dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. Dial lights up the semi-circular dial from the left side. Nice optical effect. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is in good condition with crisp square corners. Top left corner is missing. The power cord and plug has been replaced no cracks, splits, or breaks. No exposed wiring on this vintage radio. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
