DESCRIPTION: Table top wood vacuum tube radio manufactured by Zenith in 1963 in excellent working and physical condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment. FM dipole antenna included for even better reception. Has high frequency speaker in addition to main speaker that improves sound quality.
CABINET CONDITION: Artisan handcrafted wood cabinet No cracks, chips, or major scratches anywhere! Not repainted. Not re-finished. No over spray. Not touched up. Cabinet is original factory semi-gloss finish. Very solid wood construction no seams broken legs. Not reglued. Burlap-like speaker grill is original no rips broken weaves. Some slight waviness due to shrinking and stretching over the years. No separation at edges. Front chrome painted tuning panel has some light fading along the top edge. Tuning panel is securely attached, no cracks no chips.
KNOBS: Original matching knobs are in excellent condition and securely attached. No broken attach posts. Original chrome paint is faded or rubbed off in areas due to normal use.
LOGO: No missing logo.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light not designed with one. But can be added for an extra charge.
SPEAKER: Original elliptical 5" x 7" speaker and working high frequency speaker
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents. Both Intermediate Transformers have been rebuilt so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent condition with no breaks, not dried, not brittle. No exposed wiring.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: Bottom factory label is not missing, intact original.
BACKING BOARD: Original factory back cover no cracks, no chips or no major scratches. Securely mounted.
